WhatsApp Plans Overview
Landbot offers two dedicated WhatsApp bundles that include the Meta API connection and an official WhatsApp Business number in one monthly bill:
- WhatsApp Starter — €80/mo: 500 WA chats, 100 AI chats, 2 seats, opt-in widgets, broadcast campaigns.
- WhatsApp Pro — €160/mo (annual) / €200/mo monthly: 1,000 WA chats, 500 AI chats, 3 seats, API & webhooks, advanced broadcasts.
Step 1 – Choose Your WhatsApp Plan
WA Starter vs WA Pro
Choose WA Starter if you're just getting started with WhatsApp automation and expect under 500 conversations per month. Choose WA Pro for omnichannel campaigns, API access, and higher chat volume.

WA Starter €80/mo · WA Pro €160/mo annual. No credit card for trial.
Step 2 – Connect WhatsApp Business API
Go to Channels → WhatsApp
Inside Landbot, navigate to Settings → Channels → WhatsApp. Click Connect WhatsApp to start the Meta Business API onboarding flow.
Verify your Facebook Business account
You need a verified Meta Business Manager account. If you don't have one, create it at business.facebook.com before continuing.
Register a phone number
Landbot provisions an official WhatsApp Business number for you. This number cannot be used with the regular WhatsApp app simultaneously.
Step 3 – Build Your WhatsApp Flow
WhatsApp flows use the same visual builder as web chatbots, but with some key differences: you can send images, documents, and lists, but you cannot use the full HTML styling available on web.
Create a new WhatsApp bot
Click Build a Chatbot → WhatsApp. The builder opens with WhatsApp-specific blocks in the left panel.
Add opt-in confirmation
Start with a welcome message that confirms the user opted in. This is required by Meta's messaging policy.
Build your conversation flow
Use buttons (up to 3 quick-reply options), list messages, and media blocks to guide the conversation. Connect to your CRM via the native HubSpot block or a Zapier step.
Step 4 – Set Up Broadcast Campaigns
Broadcasts let you send proactive messages to opted-in contacts. Available on both WA Starter and WA Pro.
Create a Message Template
Go to Broadcasts → Templates. Create a template and submit it to Meta for approval (usually takes a few minutes to a few hours).
Upload your contact list
Import opted-in contacts via CSV or sync from your CRM. Only contacts who have previously messaged you or explicitly opted in can receive broadcast messages.
Schedule and send
Choose a send time, preview the message, and launch. Monitor delivery and read rates in the Broadcasts analytics dashboard.
